In September, the Rotary Club of Brazil-orlando had the honor to receive in their meeting, at Gilson’s Restaurant, the presence of the former governor of the District 6980 Sr. Ron Janssen, of the future governor Sra. Cindi Ciioli and the assistant governor Sr. Andres Goyanes.
The governor congratulated the president Patricia Curcovezki of the excellent work during the time frame of 2017 to 2018, on which the club received the prize of “Small Club of the Year”, highlighting the impact that the creation of two new clubs, Interact and Rotaract, had on the community.
The cycle of speeches of this Rotary year began with the speech realized by the honorable Doctor Danilo Polanco, getting a headstart on the topic of “Temperaments and Suicide”, in which the main characteristics and signals of a suicidal person were shown, signaling they need professional help.
The Interact Club of Brazil Orlando, recently lead by the president Fernanda Garbin Paes de Barros, iniciated their activities with visits to elderly homes, accompaning the Caravan of Love, of Orlando. This club ranges from teens of 12 to 18 years of age, today with more than 30 members, local residentes of Winter Garden, Windermere and Orlando. The Interact Club started their fundraising projects for the Christmas campaign destined to kids from poorer communities.
